Rebuild will partner with qualified nonprofits, called Project Users, to improve parks, recreation centers and libraries.
To be qualified as a Project User, Philadelphia-based nonprofits were required to meet specific criteria, including successful design and construction of projects totaling at least $1 million, experience working with communities, and demonstration of or commitment to diversity and inclusion, among others.
In the first round of qualification, 21 nonprofits were qualified as Project Users:
Of the Project Users, 9 are Community Development Corporations (CDCs), 12 serve specific neighborhoods and 9 serve the entire city.
Rebuild will issue a Request for Qualification for Project Users every year or every two years. Click here for more information about the Project User qualification process.
